Hillside Strong: Research & Outcomes
Hillside is committed not only to serving the evolving needs of vulnerable youth, adults and families, but to measuring the impact of those services to ensure that our work is of the highest quality possible. Through data-driven research, contributions to the field, and a commitment to implementing evidence-based and best practices, we’re able to create and sustain industry-leading programs that help families meet life’s most difficult challenges.
Research Studies and Contributions to the Field
Research- and evidence-informed programs at Hillside are designed to address the needs of children, adults, and families. To support that goal, our research and evaluation projects use methodological designs, test specific uestions/hypotheses, and follow scientific research processes. Our agency conducts original research and program evaluations, while also partnering with external researchers throughout the country.

Evidence-Based and Best Practice Solutions

Hillside programs and services incorporate data-driven methods that allow us to continuously review our performance and to measure true and meaningful impact. This consistent emphasis on measurement allows Hillside to create the best possible outcomes with the highest value.

Value Measures
Hillside uses value measures to improve the programs and services we provide to youth, families and the community. Value balances a program’s success rate with the actual cost of delivering those outcomes. This allows Hillside to determine if the program is improving on the measures that matter the most for those being served, and to evaluate how much positive social impact is created for every dollar invested in the program.
