The O’Connor Day Treatment program is a collaboration between Hillside Children’s Center and Monroe #1 BOCES. The program offers a small structured (6:1:1) educational program for students with emotional and mental health needs. O’Connor works with youth in grades 9-12. Students are referred to the program by the Committee on Special Education (CSE) in their local school districts.

About this Program

We work with families and local school districts to develop a customized individual plan for each student. We provide academic and social skills development; comprehensive psychiatric care; individual, group and family psychotherapy; instruction based on NYS Common Core learning standards; psychological evaluations and consultations; crisis intervention; case management; and behavior management.

Our multidisciplinary team includes special education teachers, master’s-prepared clinicians, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, psychologists, crisis intervention specialists, case managers, behavior specialists and specialized therapists as needed.

Parents are partners in every aspect of our program, from initial planning to regular follow-up meetings and at-home visits. We succeed by working hand-in-hand with families, and we are committed to keeping them involved in every aspect of their children’s care.
